Explanation

All-Time Best Periods are chosen as follows: All of the players that were the 'Player Of The Period' since 1998 are eligible. The stats of all the eligible players in each group (Best AL Pitcher, Worst NL Hitter, etc) are rated. Best score in a category gets 25 points, worst gets 0, everyone else is prorated somewhere in between. If a player lead all four categories for a period, he'll get the perfect 100 score. If a player is the worst in everything, they'll get a 0. All the groups are considered separately. NL hitting stats don't affect AL hitters, and so on. Neat, ain't it? (sound familiar?)

Why do I only count 'players of the period'? Because if the period wasn't good enough to be the Player Of The Period, why would it be the best ever?
