General Information

Object

The object of the game is to assemble a pair of teams, one American League and one National League, that wins the RRBL Championship according to the rules presented here.

Costs

It costs $100 to purchase a franchise in the Renegade Rotisserie Baseball League. The first three Free Agent Draft picks (defined later in the rules) are free. All other roster moves (also defined later) cost $1. All fees in the RRBL are completely non-refundable, regardless of whether or not the team finishes the season. No money is retained by the RRBL at the conclusion of the season. All money received will be distributed to the franchises as described in the next section.

The $100 entry fee is due prior to the RRBL Draft. Any team that is not paid in full at that time, will still be able to draft a team, but will be unable to make any changes to their team. No vertical list updates, free agent picks, or trades will be accepted until an apology from Ben Franklin is received by the league. Of course, 2 apologies from Ulysses S. Grant would also work.

Fees for roster moves can be paid in advance, deducted from any winnings, or paid at the end of the season to balance the books.

There is also a league-wide fee (shared equally by all teams) to cover the cost of the statistics service (TQStats) used to make all of this stuff work easier. The fee in 2005 was $99, but that is of course, subject to change by TQStats.
