• Found a friend at work who, conveniently enough, used to work as a English-German translator (in Germany), so a much better translation of the Banzai! article should be forthcoming shortly. In addition, he let me know that "Schlagers" is an Anglicized version of the German for "hits" (as in "hit singles"). "Schlager" is the German word for "hit", but that's not how you'd make the plural in German. Thanks Leon!

• Another entry added to the Covers page. The Metalunas (who have since broken up) did a cover of "Plastics For 500, Bob" on their Instrumentals Of Terror! CD. It's available from ZptdudaMusic.com, and you can hear an MP3 excerpt there as well.

• No ... I haven't fallen off the end of the Earth, just no real updates until now (it's not a biggie). I've added a new entry to the Covers page. Bob Wiseman's album, City Of Wood has a song called "The Trouble With Shadowy Men On A Shadowy Planet". Bob was frequently on the same bill as Shadowy Men, so it's obviously a friendly tribute. And no, the song doesn't sound like the SMen. I told you it wasn't a biggie.

• Another new article today, with very small Shadowy content, but interesting anyway. It's from a 1994 issue of BAM (Bay Area Music). "King of the Surf Guitar" Dick Dale is played tracks by sixteen bands (without being told in advance who they are) and comments on each. Shadowy Men are one of the bands (why else would I have put this up?)

• Last item from Alex's recent donation. This one's an article about a band called "One Eyed Jacks" that Alex played with after Crash Kills Five. The article has brief histories of the One Eyed Jacks members' former bands, so there's a nice big part on Crash Kills Five. Thanks Alex!
