"Shadowy Men" bassist Reid Diamond dies at 42

TORONTO - Reid Diamond, the Canadian musician, visual artist and author, has died of cancer. He was 42.
Diamond was best known as the bass player with the award-winning instrumental group Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet.
The band's tune "Having an Average Weekend" was the theme song for the Kids in the Hall comedy series.
At the time of his death, Diamond was putting together a visual art show about Toronto.
